Hi I'm Maddie, I’m now the team Captain. I’m as excited this year as I was two years ago, with a new group of girls to inspire, a new robot to build, a new competition to conquer. But the biggest challenge I’ve set is to help girls get interested in engineering. Believing that middle school is the best time to capture interest in robotics, I reached out to my middle school afterschool program director. Together, we applied for a grant from the Youth Empowerment Fund to start a First Lego League robotics team. At our first meeting, 8 middle school girls attended. So far, I’ve taught the students everything from the design process of building a robot to coding on electronic Arduino boards. I’m excited that the Missfits can inspire girls to pursue their engineering dreams Sicerely, Maddie

Week 1 of deep space has come and gone. The team was fast at work brainstorming, prototyping, and learning new software tools.
CAD The CAD team has been working non stop and has completed the drive train as well as beginning to CAD the intake. Mechanical The Mechanical team has brainstormed many ways to get the robot on to stages of the HAB zone. As well as prototyping mechanisms to pick up cargo and hatch panels. The Mechanical team has also begun measuring and building game pieces. Software and Electrical The Software and Electrical team explored integrating image recognition and working with raspberry pi's in tandem with the roboRIO. Listed below will be useful resources that members of the team can refer to. They will be organized in categories of software, mechanical, and electrical.

Competitions This presentation details how FRC matches and competitions work, what Build Season entails, and details about awards and Championships. Drivetrains This presentation covers the most common drivetrains you will see in FRC. Electronics This presentation was created by FRC Team 6000: Shalhevet Robotics (thanks team 6000!). It covers everything you need to know about electronics in FRC. Subsystems This presentation covers what subsystems are and what kinds of them you will see in FRC.
