Sunset Showdown '24

​This weekend, Calliope competed at the inaugural Sunset Showdown. This offseason competition was first of its kind, held aboard the retired USS Hornet in Alameda, CA. From mentor matches (rip our computer) to human matches, we loved the energy on the Hornet.

We were thrilled to compete in the elimination rounds with teams 766 M-A bears, 5419 Berkelium and 9470 Ctrl-Alt-Defeat! Individually, Calliope ranked 13th out of 40 robots, and we won the Engineering Excellence Award.
